Demerara Sugar Scrub - Enjoy the sweet experience of a delectable, brown sugar scrub with some of the most delicious organic oils and sugars (including heavenly Demerara, (a pale amber cane sugar with more minerals than white sugar).
Salt vs. Sugar Scrubs:
1. Exfoliation - When regular salt is used, alone, as an exfoliate, it can be harsh and cause microscopic tears in the skin which is an open invitation for bacteria (not to mention stinging and pain). Demerara is a gentle, humectant exfoliate, which means it draws moisture into the skin, rather than drying it out. It gently removes dead skin, revealing glowing, beautiful, baby soft skin.
2. Moisturizing - Demerara Sugar hydrates skin from the outside in. For the face, neck and other private and sensitive areas, Demerara Sugar brings moisture below the skin’s surface allowing it to “plump” naturally.
3. It’s Glycolic Acid (Alpha Hydroxy Acid or AHA), is important for encouraging cell turnover and promoting new growth to reveal the baby skin underneath. In many skincare products, adding Glycolic Acid can be harsh for the skin. Since sugar is a natural source of the acid, the skin can reap all of its wonderful properties without any of the harshness.
